In February 2023 Tullow announced the appointment of Roald Goethe (German) as independent non-executive director, with effect from 24 February 2023.

On 1 December 2025 Tullow announced the appointment of Roald as independent non-executive Chair.

Experience

Experienced oil and gas executive with extensive commercial knowledge of the energy industry in Africa. In 2006 Roald founded Delaney Petroleum Ltd, trading crude oil and petroleum products predominantly in West Africa and the Middle East. Previously, Roald spent 11 years at Trafigura Group, where he had an integral role in the development of the group’s oil trading activities, primarily in West Africa.

Ian Perks (British and American) joined Tullow as Chief Executive Officer on 15 September 2025.

Key strengths

Upstream oil and gas, African and other international markets and large multi-stakeholder project management.

Experience

Significant upstream oil and gas business experience, deep knowledge of African and other international markets and senior leadership experience covering all aspects of the oil and gas sector. Ian served as Senior Vice President for Mozambique Liquified Natural Gas at Anadarko and at Total. Prior to Anadarko, he led numerous divisions of BG Group and delivered a number of multi-billion-dollar projects, reducing costs and growing profitability.

In December 2022 Tullow announced the appointment of Richard Miller (British) as chief financial officer, with effect from 1 January 2023.

Upstream oil and gas, capital markets, M&A, financial management, audit and assurance.

Experience

Extensive oil and gas and financial experience. Since 2011, Richard has led the Tullow Finance team and supported a number of acquisitions, disposals and capital markets transactions. Richard is a chartered accountant previously with Ernst and Young LLP, where he worked in the audit and assurance practice.

In June 2023 Tullow announced the appointment of Rebecca Wiles (British) as independent non-executive director, with effect from 28 June 2023.

Key strengths

Subsurface, geoscience, technology, emerging markets, commercial, government relations, safety and risk management and executive leadership.

Experience

Significant technical subsurface and geoscience expertise gained during 33-year career at BP plc (BP). She also has extensive emerging markets, commercial and operational experience having served as Vice President of Exploration and Appraisal at BP Angola and as Managing Director of BP’s Norway business.

Non-Executive Director at the North Sea Transition Authority.

In April 2026 Tullow announced the appointment of Henry Steel (British) as independent non-executive director, with effect from 8 April 2026. Henry will also serve as Senior Independent Director.

Investment experience spanning corporate finance, listed equities and natural resources.

Experience

Spent eight years at Odey Asset Management as a Fund Manager for the Odey Concentrated Natural Resources Fund. Previously at Rio Tinto in a number of roles including Special Adviser to the Head of Business Development focusing on mergers and acquisitions, strategy and project finance.

Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Globe12, a research-driven, fundamental investor in developed market-listed equities.

In April 2026 Tullow announced the appointment of Garrett Soden (American) as independent non-executive director, with effect from 1 May 2026.

Experience

Garrett currently serves as President and CEO of ShaMaran Petroleum Ltd. He has worked with the Lundin Group for almost 20 years and has extensive experience as a senior executive and board member of various public companies in the natural resources sector, including M&A, turnarounds and restructurings. Garrett was previously Chairman of Africa Energy Corp. and served as President and CEO during the company's deepwater gas condensate discoveries offshore South Africa. He has held a number of Non-Executive Director roles with oil and gas companies focused on Africa or listed in London, including Panoro Energy, Gulf Keystone Petroleum and Phoenix Global Resources.

In April 2026 Tullow announced the appointment of Euan Shirlaw (British) as independent non-executive director, with effect from 1 May 2026.

Experience

Euan currently serves as CEO of BlueNord where he has led the company through a period of significant transformation. He has extensive experience managing complex capital structures, having overseen the raising, refinancing and amendment of several billion dollars of debt. Prior to joining BlueNord, Euan spent over a decade in oil and gas investment banking, advising on M&A and financing transactions at Rothschild, RBC Capital Markets, Credit Suisse and BMO Capital Markets.

In April 2026 Tullow announced the appointment of James Peterkin (British) as independent non-executive director, with effect from 1 May 2026.

Experience

James currently serves as CEO of Kirk Lovegrove & Co Ltd, an energy advisory company based in London. He has over 30 years of experience in oil and gas investment banking with significant cross-border expertise, advising on a wide range of upstream, downstream and services transactions. He was previously Head of EMEA Energy Investment Banking at Credit Suisse International where he was also Vice Chairman of the European Investment Banking Committee. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, he was Co-Head of EMEA Oil and Gas at Barclays, and prior to that he held senior positions at Citigroup and Schroders Investment Banking.
